The new variant of Corona NB.1.8.1 and LF.7 (Corona new variant NB.1.8.1 and LF.7) started by China has started creating panic in India too after creating havoc in Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong. For the first time this year, the active case in the country has crossed 1000. At the same time, more than three corona patients have died. There is a rapid jump in the cases of corona virus in Delhi. The two new variants of corona found in India, NB.1.8.1 and LF.7, are sub-variants of Omicron, which was active till 2022. NB.1.8.1 is a descendant of the JN.1 variant. While LF.7 is another sub-variant related to it. These variants bring several mutations in the spike protein of the virus, which help it spread easily among humans.
According to the Health Department, Kerala has the highest number of cases at 430. After that Maharashtra has 209 and Delhi is in third place with 104 active cases. While 34 new cases have been reported in Karnataka. With this, the number of active cases in the state has increased to 47. The Health Department further said that 76 new cases have been reported in Haryana. With this, the number of active cases in the state has increased to 83, while 11 new cases have been reported in Rajasthan. With this, the number of active cases has increased to 13. Apart from this, 11 new cases have been found in West Bengal. With this, the number of active cases has increased to 12. At the same time, 15 new cases have been found in UP.
At present, no active case has been registered in some states like Andaman and Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir etc.
