Under "Operation Sindhu," 110 Indian students stranded in Iran were successfully evacuated and brought to Delhi via Armenia. The students described the situation in Iran as dire, highlighting the urgency of the mission.
110 Indian students stranded in Iran amid Iran-Israel War have reached India safely. 110 Indian medical students landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. 90 of these students are from Kashmir. All of them were studying medicine at Urmia Medical University in Iran. Let us tell you that India has launched 'Operation Sindhu' to evacuate people stranded in Iran.
The students were to reach Delhi late Wednesday evening via Armenia and Doha. However, their flight also arrived about 3 hours late. These students evacuated from Iran reached Armenia on Tuesday, where they were lodged in hotels in the capital Yerevan. After this, today they were brought to India via Qatar.
The students who reached Delhi said that 'the situation there is getting worse every day. Especially the situation in Tehran is very bad. War is not a good thing. Humanity is killed.
All the students left for India by a special flight at 2:55 pm on Wednesday and reached New Delhi on Thursday morning. This is the first phase of Operation Sindhu. The Indian government has expressed special gratitude to the governments of Iran and Armenia for their cooperation in this entire operation, who helped in making the rescue operation easy and safe.
