Rahul Gandhi Criticizes 'NFS' as Modern Manuism

Rahul Gandhi shared a video of his interaction with DUSU students, accusing the government of using 'NFS' to propagate a new form of Manuism. He alleged that eligible candidates from SC-ST-OBC communities are being unfairly disqualified, sparking a debate on inclusivity in the selection process.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi once again mentioned Manuism on Tuesday. He shared a video of his conversation with Delhi University students, in which he is asking them about the issues of the students. During this discussion, Rahul launched a scathing attack on the Modi government at the Center and alleged that systematic discrimination is being done against Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes in this government. He has said that eligible candidates from backward communities across the country are being deliberately declared ineligible to keep them away from education and leadership. Rahul Gandhi alleged that eligible candidates are being rejected by calling them 'Not Found Suitable (NFS)' and this is a new type of Manuism.

He said that Babasaheb had said that education is the biggest weapon for equality, but the Modi government is busy blunting that weapon.

NFS called an attack on the Constitution

He wrote, 'More than 60 percent of the reserved posts of professors and more than 30 percent of associate professors in Delhi University have been kept vacant by calling it NFS. This is no exception. The same conspiracy is going on everywhere, in IITs, central universities. NFS is an attack on the Constitution. NFS is a betrayal of social justice. This is not just a fight for education and jobs but for rights, respect and participation.'

Rahul Gandhi said, 'I talked to the students of DUSU, now all of us together will answer every anti-reservation move of BJP-RSS with the power of the Constitution.' The Congress leader suddenly reached the North Campus of Delhi University on May 22, where he talked to the students of DUSU. This conversation was held in the office of the President of DUSU. It was aimed to interact with SC, ST and OBC students and discuss issues of representation, equity and educational justice.
