Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Monday said the world now listens carefully to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reflecting India’s growing influence on the global stage. Speaking at a centenary event of the RSS in Pune, Bhagwat emphasized that India is steadily claiming its rightful place in international affairs.
Addressing the gathering, he underlined the importance of timely execution of organizational work, cautioning against limiting efforts to anniversary celebrations alone. “Our organization has completed 100 years and faced numerous challenges, but we must reflect on why it took so long to unite society,” he said.
Bhagwat also highlighted the Sangh’s guiding principles of dialogue, collectivism, and unity in diversity. “All philosophies in India stem from a common source. Our progress depends on coordination and adherence to Dharma,” he noted.
Recalling the contributions of RSS founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, Bhagwat said the Sangh began its work under extremely challenging circumstances. Despite uncertainties, volunteers built a foundation of success through consistent effort, sacrifice, and dedication.
The RSS chief reinforced the organization’s long-term vision, stating that India’s rise is historically linked to global peace and stability. He cited past statements emphasizing India’s civilizational unity, the need for vigilance in national security, and the imperative of strengthening the Indian armed forces.
Bhagwat’s remarks come amid a series of public statements highlighting India’s civilizational identity, strategic self-reliance, and national unity. Over the past six months, he has stressed that India’s strength must grow to counter regional and global challenges, while maintaining its cultural ethos.
The centenary event drew widespread attention, with RSS leaders and volunteers reflecting on the organization’s century-long journey and its vision for India’s social and strategic development.
