Second day of Monsoon Session of Parliament: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar did not come to Rajya Sabha;

On the second day of the Monsoon Session, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was absent from the Rajya Sabha. Amid heavy opposition uproar, both Houses were adjourned at 12 PM.
Today is the second day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, who resigned from his post on Monday night, did not reach Rajya Sabha. In his place, Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh took over the proceedings of the House. As soon as the proceedings of both the Houses of Parliament, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, started, the opposition started a ruckus over Operation Sindoor. Due to this, both the Houses were adjourned till 12 o'clock.
After this, the opposition MPs reached near the entry gate of the Parliament. After this, carrying placards in their hands, they raised slogans against Pahalgam and Operation Sindoor as well as SIR.
Before the second day's proceedings, a meeting was held between Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in the Parliament House. Other ministers including Union Minister JP Nadda also participated in it. At the same time, the leaders of the I.N.D.I.A. alliance also held a meeting. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from his post on Monday night. He cited health reasons as the reason for this. Dhankhar attended the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha on Monday. He also gave a speech as the Chairman.
A meeting of India Block Floor Leaders was held in Parliament to prepare the strategy for the House. Many people including Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Jairam Ramesh attended the meeting.
