A video is going viral on social media these days, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is promoting an investment scheme that promises a profit of up to Rs 1.25 lakh per day on an investment of Rs 21,000. In this video, PM Modi is seen saying that this is a guaranteed plan of the government. No special information is required for this and you can apply on it by just clicking on a link. In this video, PM Modi is seen saying that eight lakh rupees can be earned in just a week. But this video is completely fake.
In fact, when the Press Information Bureau investigated this video, it was found that this video is completely fake and has been tampered with. PIB said that this video is fake, because in this video PM Narendra Modi is talking in English and the tone in which PM Narendra Modi is talking, neither that tone is of PM Narendra Modi nor the voice is matching with the real voice of PM Narendra Modi.
PAIB, in its fact check, has called this video a fake video and said that it has been prepared by digitally manipulating it. It has been said that the kind of voice that is heard is also unbelievable and it is completely fake.
It is worth noting that in this era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), attempts are being made to manipulate the media by creating many fake videos that look real. Such fake videos are being created by scammers by taking advantage of the trust of people in leaders and government organizations.
Continuous warnings are being given
In the month of May, SBI issued a public notice and alerted its bank customers and common people about the deepfake videos being spread on social media. In a social media post, SBI had said- First identify the person who is offering investment opportunities. Be cautious about any such advice and double-check it before investing.
