‘Should RSS be banned?’ Akhilesh Yadav mocks BJP using ChatGPT
Digital Desk
Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav launched a fierce attack on the BJP government during a press conference in Lucknow on Friday, accusing it of arrogance, corruption, and failure to address issues faced by farmers, the poor, and common citizens. Speaking on a wide range of topics—from sugarcane pricing and privatisation of mandis to law and order and healthcare—Akhilesh also took a dig at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, humorously invoking ChatGPT while discussing whether the RSS should be banned.
“Government hiding truth in Kanpur case”
Referring to the case of Akhilesh Dubey from Kanpur, Yadav alleged that the man was being kept alive “out of fear” because the government did not want the truth to emerge. “If the real story comes out, it will expose the government’s secrets,” he claimed.
“Demolition in Meerut was a return gift”
On the demolition of Meerut’s Central Market, the SP president said that a similar decision had been approved during his tenure, but no action was carried out then. “Those who voted for BJP have now received their return gift,” he quipped.
“Chief Minister is busy playing with children”
Akhilesh mocked CM Yogi Adityanath for what he described as political theatrics. “These days, our Chief Minister is playing with children—lifting them up in his lap for photo ops,” he said. In a humorous jab, he added, “He even asked ChatGPT whether the RSS should be banned.”
“Sugarcane prices should rise further”
Speaking about farmer issues, Akhilesh demanded higher sugarcane procurement prices, saying, “Farmers deserve rates that ensure prosperity for their families.” He accused the government of delaying price hikes despite profiting from farmers’ efforts. “There’s no fertiliser, diesel is expensive, pesticides cost more, and there’s no paddy procurement. Even MSP is being denied,” he said.
Yadav also alleged that the government was preparing to privatise mandis to benefit businessmen. “These markets are on prime land. The government is working hand in hand with big traders to sell them off. This is not governance—it’s loot,” he alleged.
“Injustice to PDA community, chaos in health sector”
The SP chief said that the PDA community in Balrampur was being denied justice and accused the government of turning a blind eye to their grievances.
He further attacked the BJP over the deteriorating healthcare system. “BJP leaders themselves go to Medanta, a hospital built during our tenure. In our time, free treatment was available at KGMU and Lohia hospitals, and we expanded the ambulance network,” he said.
Promising better healthcare if SP returns to power, Akhilesh said, “We’ll increase the number of ambulances again.” Taking a dig at the government, he added sarcastically, “If you go for treatment under BJP, they’ll send you to the OT—and when you wake up, you’ll find they treated the wrong side!”
“BJP’s original party is RSS”
Yadav also attacked the ideological roots of the ruling party, saying, “BJP’s parent organisation is the RSS. When BJP was formed, it promised socialist and secular ideals, but just as they lied then, they continue to lie now.”
“Gorakhpur looks like Spain? Maybe because of cannabis!”
Mocking the government’s claim of making Gorakhpur resemble Spain, Akhilesh remarked, “Search what Kyoto is—they said Varanasi would look like it. Now they’re saying Gorakhpur will look like Spain! Who knows how much cannabis they’re catching there?”
He alleged that public funds were being misused for image-building campaigns instead of welfare. “The government is even denying fair market value to people whose properties are demolished,” he added.
“Check with ChatGPT—RSS was banned three times”
Responding to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement about banning the RSS, Akhilesh brought humor into the discussion. “Check with ChatGPT—it’ll tell you everything,” he said, pulling out his phone. “According to ChatGPT, RSS was banned three times. It was Sardar Patel who banned both the RSS and Hindu Mahasabha. Even today, RSS spreads communalism. I’m not saying this—ChatGPT is!”
Continuing the joke, he said, “Now they’ll ban ChatGPT too. If you ask ChatGPT the Hindi or Arabic name of Osama, it might even say Sher Singh. If they don’t like the name Osama, they’ll just change it!”
“Women are unsafe, corruption is rampant”
Turning serious, Akhilesh condemned the murder of Dularchand Yadav in Bihar and the central government’s silence. “Such a major killing happened—what was the Indian government doing?” he asked, adding that law and order in UP was no better. “Today, most daughters in Uttar Pradesh are unsafe,” he said.
He also accused the BJP government of large-scale corruption. “Recently, a police officer was caught hiding money in a newspaper. In Kanpur, government officials are deeply involved in scams. There’s never been this much corruption in Uttar Pradesh—universities, recruitments, and even basic services are tainted,” Akhilesh concluded.
With sharp barbs, wit, and a touch of sarcasm, Akhilesh Yadav’s press conference blended political criticism with humor, turning his ChatGPT reference into a viral talking point amid the heated political climate in Uttar Pradesh.
