Former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath has fiercely attacked the government. He said that under the BJP government, MP is becoming a state of financial mismanagement. Citing the CAG report, he said that the lapse of Rs 5442 crore is a serious irregularity.
Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath posted on his social media account X and wrote- ‘Under the BJP government, Madhya Pradesh is becoming a state of financial mismanagement. The CAG report shows that more than Rs 5442 crores in the state lapsed in the last five years because the concerned departments could not surrender the amount on time. All this is happening when the Madhya Pradesh government takes a loan of up to Rs 4000-5000 crores every month. In a state which is drowning in a quagmire of debt of about Rs 4 lakh crore, the lapse of Rs 5442 crore is a serious irregularity.'
He further wrote, 'In a state where thousands of primary school buildings are unsafe, more than 80,000 classrooms are dilapidated, thousands of schools are running on the strength of a single teacher and thousands of teachers are waiting for appointment, the lapse of such a huge amount is a sign of lack of governance. With the amount that has lapsed, thousands of unemployed people could have been given regular employment and lakhs of malnourished women and children could have been given nutritious food. But BJP is not concerned with all this. In Madhya Pradesh, the government is running on the principle of giving money and getting work done, in which only the stomachs of the favourites are being filled and the public is being harassed.'
