Kharge raised three questions in a post on X: who is the Election Commission protecting for alleged vote-stealing, whether the BJP is "hollowing out" the institutions that protect democracy, and whether democracy itself can tolerate a system where a "vote-stealing factory" is destroying the electoral system.
Speaking to IANS, Pawan Khera, head of the party's media and publicity department, said that an FIR was filed for alleged irregularities in the voter list only after Congress candidate BR Patil filed hundreds of petitions with the Election Commission.
The Election Commission is not cooperating with the CID investigation
Raising several questions, Khera asked, "Isn't it true that the Election Commission is not cooperating with the CID investigation? Isn't it true that despite 18 reminders, the Election Commission is not responding to the CID's demands? Isn't it true that the Election Commission was caught red-handed?"
When asked about Congress's victory in those elections, Khera said that it was not a matter of electoral victory or defeat, but rather an issue of electoral integrity, which the party has always stood for.
