Sanjay Raut Mocks BCCI Over Pakistani Player’s Bat Gesture

Sanjay Raut took a jibe at the BCCI, saying a Pakistani player “held the bat like an AK-47,” sparking controversy in the cricketing community.
Shiv Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut targeted PM Modi, Jay Shah, and the BCCI regarding the India-Pakistan match in the Asia Cup 2025. He objected to the way Pakistani batsman Sahibzada Farhan celebrated his half-century, comparing it to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Raut accused him of embarrassing the BCCI and the Modi government and also took a dig at Jay Shah.
Shiv Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday launched a fresh attack on PM Modi, Jay Shah, and the BCCI during the India-Pakistan match in the Asia Cup 2025.
In a post on Instagram, Raut objected to Pakistani batsman Sahibzada Farhan's suspicious gesture after completing his 50.
"As if nothing had happened"
Raut said, "Sahibzada Farhan proved on the field how Pakistani terrorists massacred 26 innocent people in Pahalgam—they were gunned down as if nothing had happened. He completed his half-century, held his bat like an AK-47, and hit fours!"
Taking aim at the BCCI
The UBT leader further said, "This spitting in the face of the BCCI and the Modi government is the height of disgrace. Jay Shah deserves the Bharat Ratna for bringing shame to India." The Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan has sparked political turmoil in the country.
India defeated Pakistan again
In the second match, India defeated Pakistan by six wickets. Chasing a target of 172, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill shared a quickfire 105-run partnership, and Tilak Varma played a brilliant innings to give India their seventh consecutive victory over Pakistan across all formats.
