If AAP wins the Ludhiana seat of Punjab, then Arvind Kejriwal will get a chance to go to Rajya Sabha. Ludhiana West of Punjab was with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). AAP has made Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora a candidate from Ludhiana West.
Where and for how many seats was the by-election held
Let us tell you that on Thursday i.e. 19 June, by-elections were held for a total of five assembly seats in four states of the country. Voting started at 7 am and continued till 6 pm. These include Punjab, Gujarat, Kerala and West Bengal. By-elections were held on two assembly seats in Gujarat and one each in the rest of the states.
A total of 57.91 percent voting took place in the Kadi seat of Gujarat, while 56.89 percent votes were cast in the Visavadar seat. On the other hand, the highest voting of 75.27 percent was recorded in the Nilambur seat of Kerala. While 51.33 percent voting took place in the Ludhiana West seat of Punjab. On the other hand, 73.36 percent voters cast their votes in the Kaliganj seat of West Bengal.
