Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, without naming him, criticized PM Modi's recent foreign tours. After this, the Ministry of External Affairs has termed the criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign visits by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann as irresponsible.
The ministry, without naming Mann, said on Thursday that the Government of India dissociates itself from the inappropriate comments made by a high state authority, which has weakened India's relations with friendly countries.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, "We have seen certain comments made by a high state authority regarding India's relations with friendly countries of the Global South. These comments are irresponsible and regrettable and do not befit a government authority.
