BJP is going to make a big bet on Suvendu Adhikari! Amit Shah gave a big hint in gestures; know the whole thing

In politics, many leaders say big things in gestures, the meaning of which is sometimes understood much later. Union Home Minister and BJP's Chanakya Amit Shah, who reached Kolkata just two days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bengal tour before the assembly elections next year, gave a big hint in gestures from the party's workers' conference held at Netaji Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

This conference was named 'Vijay Sankalp Karyakarta Sammelan', in which all the top leaders of the state BJP, all the party MPs, MLAs, district presidents in the state and more than 1,300 Mandal presidents were present.

Suvendu Adhikari was described as a dear friend
The way Shah, at the beginning of his address, described Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari as his dear friend in the Assembly and talked about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee running away as soon as he stood in the Assembly, it is being considered a big indication.

After this, questions are now being raised whether the BJP is going to enter the fray by declaring Suvendu as the chief ministerial face in the assembly elections to be held in the state early next year? Or is Suvendu going to become the next state president of Bengal BJP?

Joined before 2021 elections

It is known that before the 2021 Bengal assembly elections, it was Shah who got Suvendu inducted into the BJP. Suvendu, who was once very close to Mamata and was with her in the much-discussed Nandigram and Singur movement, resigned from the post of minister and MLA and joined the BJP in December 2020 in the presence of Shah at a meeting held in his home district East Medinipur. The relationship between the two is also very good.

After joining the BJP, in the 2021 assembly elections, Suvendu defeated a strong leader like Trinamool supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from his traditional Nandigram seat and came into the headlines overnight. After this victory, the confidence of the central leadership of the BJP increased further towards him.

Election of state president also pending in Bengal

Though many prominent leaders, MPs and MLAs were present on the stage of the workers' conference, the way Shah addressed Suvendu calling him his dear friend is telling a lot. The election of the state president is also to be held in Bengal in the coming days. Suvendu is continuously active and is currently the main face of Bengal BJP. However, at the organizational level, whether the old BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh officials and members accept Suvendu or not is also a question.

Let us tell you that the Adhikari family has a lot of influence in many surrounding districts including East Medinipur. In the Lok Sabha elections last year, the BJP could not perform as expected in the state and its number of seats also decreased from 18 to 12 as compared to the 2019 elections. However, despite the Trinamool's full efforts, the BJP managed to win both the Lok Sabha seats of Suvendu's home district East Medinipur, Kanthi and Tamluk.
