BJP to Elect National President Soon, But This Task Comes First

Before finalizing its next national president, the BJP is focusing on completing key organizational work, including state-level appointments and internal restructuring. The decision is currently held up due to pending consensus among senior leaders and coordination with upcoming electoral strategies.  

BJP has taken an important step towards the election of the national president. Observers have been announced for the election of state presidents and members of the National Council of Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Bengal.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju for Maharashtra, senior leader and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad for Bengal and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra for Uttarakhand have been appointed as observers.

It is believed that in the next few days, the process of election of state presidents of all three states will be completed under their supervision. It is worth noting that according to the BJP's own constitution, the election of state presidents is very important for the election of the national president.

To start the process of election of the national president, it is necessary to elect presidents of more than half of the states. Politically, BJP has 36 states. In view of this, to start the process of election of the national president, it is necessary to elect the president in 19 states.

Two state presidents remain to be elected
After electing state presidents in Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Bengal, a total of 17 state presidents will be elected and only two state presidents will remain to be elected. At the same time, some senior BJP leaders believe that the election of the national president is not possible without big states like Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

The matter of state president is still pending in both these states.
Along with the state presidents, members of the National Council are also elected, who vote in the election of the national president. It is believed that the process of election of state presidents will be completed soon in these two states as well as in some other remaining states.
