Chidambaram Slams Dhankhar, Cites Trust Loss Behind Resignation

Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was in the news a lot during his tenure and his resignation was also in the headlines. Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP P Chidambaram has made a big claim about Dhankhar. Talking to India Today, he said that Dhankhar's relationship with the government had deteriorated. He said, "Jagdeep Dhankhar had to resign because he had crossed his limits."

Chidambaram mentioned the case of Justice Yashwant Verma. He said, "Jagdeep Dhankhar had opposed the government by accepting the proposal against Justice Yashwant Verma. When Dhankhar lost the trust of the government, he had to go." Chidambaram said that the paths of Dhankhar and the government have parted, they both are not in agreement.

Congress leader Chidambaram said that there is no mutual respect left between the government and Dhankhar. He said that the way Dhankhar made a formal announcement about his resignation is proof of this. Chidambaram said, the Deputy Chairman gave a brief information about the vacancy of the post of Vice President in the Rajya Sabha and also said that the program will be announced later. This clearly means that the government has peacefully said goodbye to Jagdeep Dhankhar. The trust between these two has completely broken.
