Getting a license comes under the Arms Act of 1959. Any citizen who wants to keep a gun is allowed to buy only Non Prohibited Bore (NPB) guns. There is a provision in this Act, through which a common citizen can get a license. Any person has the right to obtain a gun license in case of serious threat.
