Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has also appointed three working presidents while entrusting Gaurav Gogoi with the responsibility of Assam Pradesh Congress President. Along with this, many senior leaders who were involved in the race for the face of Assam Congress have also been given important election responsibilities to keep them in check. Zakir Hussain Sikdar and Pradeep Sarkar along with AICC Secretary Roslina Tirkey have been appointed as the working president of the state Congress.

While the current state Congress President Bhupen Kumar Bora has been made the chairman of the Assembly Election Campaign Committee, senior leader Debbrata Saikia has been made the head of the coordination committee, Pradyut Bordoloi the head of the manifesto committee and MP Rakibul Hasan the head of the campaign committee.
