Venugopal termed the bill to remove the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers and Ministers facing serious criminal charges as "just a diversionary tactic". He said, "Parliament will never pass it. They want to divert attention from electoral fraud and Bihar visit. They are trying to constitutionalize the politics of revenge." The Congress leader says that in the current situation, the central government is trying to divert people's attention from the real issues.
