'Congress Wants to Harm RJD’: PM Modi Targets Opposition in Bihar Rallies
Digital Desk
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held massive election rallies in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra, launching a sharp attack on the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Addressing a huge gathering in Chhapra, the PM alleged that Congress had deliberately invited leaders who had previously insulted Biharis to campaign in the state — a move he claimed was part of a larger conspiracy to weaken RJD itself.
“In Telangana and Karnataka, Congress leaders abuse people from Bihar. In Tamil Nadu, DMK leaders harass Biharis. Now, the same people are being called here to campaign. This is part of a well-planned conspiracy. Congress wants RJD to lose these elections,” Modi said.
He added that this reflected the widening rift between Congress and RJD, both part of the INDIA alliance, remarking that parties with the lantern and hand symbols were united only by their hunger for power.
Modi: ‘Narendra and Nitish Working to Fulfil People’s Dreams’
PM Modi said the NDA government under him and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was dedicated to fulfilling the aspirations of Bihar’s people.
“Narendra and Nitish are working tirelessly for your dreams. Once again, Bihar will elect a government of good governance — once again, NDA will win,” he declared, amid loud cheers from the crowd.
‘Rahul Insulted Chhath Maiya’: PM’s Attack in Muzaffarpur
At his rally in Muzaffarpur, the Prime Minister strongly criticised the Congress and RJD over their alleged disrespect toward Chhath Puja, a festival deeply revered in Bihar.
“We are trying to get the Chhath festival included in UNESCO’s World Heritage list. While your son is taking the chant of ‘Chhathi Maiya ki Jai’ across the world, Congress and RJD leaders are insulting her. Can anyone insult Chhath Maiya for votes? Will the mothers who fast without water tolerate this insult?” he asked.
Modi’s remarks came in response to Rahul Gandhi’s earlier statement accusing him of “doing drama over Chhath Puja” and “bathing in a swimming pool instead of the Yamuna.”
BJP leaders have since launched a strong counter-campaign, calling Rahul’s comments an insult to Bihar’s faith and traditions.
‘Jungle Raj’ and the 5 Ks
In his 52-minute address, PM Modi reminded the crowd of the “dark days” of misrule in Bihar under RJD-Congress governments, which he referred to as “Jungle Raj.”
“RJD and Congress are known for five things — Katta, Kroorta, Katuta, Kushasan, and Corruption — gun culture, cruelty, hatred, misgovernance, and corruption. These are the hallmarks of Jungle Raj,” Modi said.
He cited incidents like the Golu kidnapping case to highlight the lawlessness of that period, claiming over 35,000 kidnappings occurred under RJD rule.
“Those who once looted railways and land — can they ever bring industries or development to Bihar?” he asked.
PM: ‘RJD and Congress Disrespect Faith and Protect Infiltrators’
The Prime Minister also accused the Congress and RJD of having a problem with the construction of the Ram Temple and of trying to protect infiltrators.
“Have you ever seen RJD or Congress leaders visiting the Ram Temple? They are scared that if they go for Lord Ram’s darshan, their vote bank will be upset,” he said.
He called their election manifesto a “rate list”, claiming every promise was linked to extortion and corruption.
