Gurjar Reservation: Rajasthan Forms Cabinet Sub-Committee

Major update on Gurjar reservation in Rajasthan as the government forms a cabinet sub-committee; Bainsala issues a key statement.

The Rajasthan government on Monday formed a cabinet sub-committee to discuss the solution of the demands being raised by the Extremely Backward Classes and Gurjar Reservation Struggle Committee. Parliamentary Affairs Minister will be the convener of this committee. Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot and Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham will be the members of this committee. The Secretary of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department will be the member secretary of this committee.

Bainsala is confident

After the formation of the committee, Gurjar Reservation Struggle Committee President Vijay Bainsala posted on social media that we are confident that the state government will call a cabinet meeting as soon as possible and send a recommendation to the central government to include MBC reservation in the Ninth Schedule.

Mahapanchayat was held in Pilupura

He further wrote that along with this, as per the agreement with the government, all other demands will also be fulfilled positively within the stipulated time. The Gurjar community had recently organized a Maha Panchayat in Pilupura, Bharatpur. The Maha Panchayat was declared to be ended in the afternoon after getting consent from the government.

During that time, Bainsla had said that I had already said that everything would be discussed in front of the public, not behind closed doors. This proposal has not been opened yet. This is a magic box. Let us tell you that some youths, angry with the ending of the agitation, suddenly sat on the railway track and blocked the way. Due to this, the Bayana-Hindaun railway route was completely blocked. The Mathura-Sawai Madhopur passenger was stopped at the agitation site, while the Bandra-Barauni Avadh Express had to be stopped at Fatehsinghpura station. Routes of many other trains were also changed.
