Jaydu Wins in Mokama, Arun Manjhi Secures Masaurhi

Results for 12 out of 14 assembly constituencies in Patna have been declared. The NDA has won nine seats, while the Grand Alliance has secured three.

In Phulwari, JDU’s Shyam Rajak is leading by 20,516 votes, though counting is still underway. Similarly, in Digha, BJP’s Sanjeev Chaurasia is ahead by 58,588 votes.

Key Constituency Results:

  • Mokama: JDU’s Anant Singh wins by 28,206 votes, securing 91,416 votes against RJD’s Veena Devi, who received 63,210 votes.

  • Masaurhi: Arun Manjhi wins, receiving 106,505 votes; RJD’s Rekha Devi gets 98,862 votes. Margin: 7,643 votes.

  • Fatuha: RJD’s Dr. Ramanand Yadav wins with 90,558 votes, defeating LJP (R) candidate Rupa Kumari, who got 82,566 votes. Margin: 7,992 votes.

  • Bakhtiyarpur: LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate Arun Kumar wins by 981 votes, polling 88,520 votes; RJD’s Aniruddh Kumar receives 87,539 votes.

  • Paliganj: Grand Alliance’s Sandeep Saurav (CPI-ML) wins by 6,655 votes, securing 81,105 votes; LJP (R) Sunil Kumar gets 74,450 votes.

  • Bikram: BJP’s Siddharth Saurav wins by 5,601 votes, polling 101,189 votes; Congress’s Anil Kumar receives 95,588 votes.

  • Patna Sahib: BJP’s Ratnesh Kumar leads by 38,900 votes with 130,366 votes; Congress’s Shashant Shekhar gets 91,466 votes.

  • Barauli: NDA wins with BJP’s Siyaram Singh ahead by 24,678 votes, securing 99,171 votes; RJD’s Karnveer Singh Yadav receives 74,494 votes.

  • Maner: RJD’s Bhai Virendra wins by 20,034 votes with 110,798 votes; LJP (R) Jitendra Yadav gets 90,764 votes.

  • Kumhrar: NDA’s Sanjay Kumar wins by 47,524 votes, polling 100,485 votes; Congress’s Indradeep Kumar Chandravanshi receives 52,961 votes.

  • Danapur: BJP’s Ramkripal Yadav wins by 29,133 votes with 119,877 votes; RJD’s Reetlal Yadav gets 90,744 votes.

  • Bankipur: BJP’s Nitin Naveen wins by 51,936 votes, securing 98,299 votes; RJD’s Rekha Kumari gets 46,363 votes.

Counting Staff and Security Arrangements

A total of 920 counting staff have been deployed, including 286 observers, 348 assistants, and 286 micro-observers. The second randomization of staff was conducted at the NIC office on Wednesday under the supervision of the DM, election observers, and other officials.

Strict security and transparency measures have been implemented, with CCTV monitoring, police deployment, and magistrates present to maintain a peaceful environment. DM Tyagarajan assured that counting would be conducted smoothly and transparently, expressing gratitude to voters and officials.

Voter Turnout and Candidate Details

A total of 149 candidates contested across 14 assembly constituencies in Patna, with overall voting at 58.40%. Bikram recorded the highest turnout at 69.09%, while Kumhrar saw the lowest at 39.57%.

High-Profile Contests

Mokama saw a clash between two influential figures, Anant Singh (JDU) and Surajbhan Singh. Veena Devi, wife of Surajbhan Singh, contested from RJD. Anant Singh, currently in jail in connection with the Dularchand murder case, contested from jail.

In Danapur, Ramkripal Yadav faced Reetlal Yadav, who is also incarcerated. In Digha, BJP’s Sanjeev Chaurasia contested against Divya Gautam, sister of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Bankipur witnessed the contest for Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Nitin Naveen.
