Karnataka Minister Faces Backlash Over Rahul Statement

CM Siddaramaiah demands resignation of Karnataka minister after controversial remarks against Rahul Gandhi spark uproar.

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has staged a strong protest alleging 'vote theft'. During this, all the opposition leaders were seen supporting his statement. But, Cooperation Minister K N Rajanna in the Karnataka government had given a statement contrary to Rahul's statement.

Information has come to light from sources in the office of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that resignation has been sought from Cooperation Minister K N Rajanna. Rajanna had said that instead of imposing the entire responsibility on the Election Commission, it would be better if the party itself takes responsibility for it.

Meeting with CM
A source in the Chief Minister's Office said that Rajanna has been asked to resign. Rajanna has also held a meeting with the Chief Minister in Vidhan Soudha.

This matter became a topic of discussion during the Karnataka Assembly session on Monday, when BJP MLAs demanded Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H.K. Patil and Rajanna to clarify the situation on this matter.

Siddaramaiah's loyalist Rajanna has been in the news for the past two months after he claimed that there would be an August Revolution, indicating a major reshuffle in the government.
