Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has married Biju Janata Dal leader Pinaki Mishra. Her wedding pictures are becoming increasingly viral on social media. Mahua got secretly married in Germany on 3 May.

Her husband Pinaki Mishra has been a Biju Janata Dal MP from Puri Lok Sabha seat of Odisha. Born in Cuttack, Odisha, Pinaki Mishra started his parliamentary career in 1996. This victory was very important as he defeated the then Union Minister Braj Kishore Tripathi.

Pinaki Mishra has been a senior advocate in the Supreme Court. He has a long experience of three decades in politics and legal matters. He has also been a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance and the Business Advisory Committee. Pinaki Mishra is known for presenting his point in the Lok Sabha in a very calm and composed manner.

Pinaki Mishra was born on 23 October 1959. His father's name is Loknath Mishra and mother's name is Binapani Mishra. Pinaki Mishra married Sangeeta Mishra on 16 January 1984. He is also the father of two children. Pinaki Mishra has studied BA Honors History from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University and LLB from Faculty of Law.

After becoming a part of the 11th Lok Sabha in 1996, Pinaki Mishra was elected a member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs. In 2009, he reached the Lok Sabha for the second time as an MP. After this, he again became a member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs. He was also elected a member of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation.

During this period, Pinaki Mishra was also a member of the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Law, the Standing Committee of Civil Aviation and the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Personnel. In the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he won for the third and fourth consecutive time. In 2019, he was made the leader of the Biju Janata Dal in the Lok Sabha.
