Mayawati objects to Jyotirlinga replicas in Buddha Park
Kanpur, UP
BSP Chief Mayawati has opposed the construction of replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas in Buddha Park, warning that such steps are inappropriate and may create unrest and hatred among communities.
Mayawati has objected to the construction of replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas (Shivalay Park) in the city's Buddha Park. She has written on the post that 'According to the Constitution of India, India is a secular country where people of different religions and castes live and people of every religion have their own places of worship, under which Buddha Park is located in Kanpur city, which is the center of faith of Buddhism and Ambedkar followers.'
Mayawati further wrote that 'According to the information received, the construction of a place of worship of another religion in this Buddha Park proposed by the government is not at all appropriate. The government should stop it immediately, otherwise unrest and hatred can spread among the people here.'
The replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas will be visible near Gautam Buddha Park. For this, Shivalaya Park will be built here. The place for construction was marked last Thursday. Happiness Park will also be developed in this complex. The city's recognition of the Happiness Index will be displayed in it. There will also be entertainment and educational activities for children and youth. Not only this, a state-of-the-art children's park, attractive water ball lake, cafe will also be built in the park for children's sports and other entertainment.
