Rajasthan Energy Department ACS Shri Alok Passes Away; CM Bhajanlal Mourns the Loss

Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Department in Rajasthan, Shri Alok breathed his last late night at his residence in Delhi. ACS Alok was ill for the last few days. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma had been inquiring about his health. Tributes have been paid to Shri Alok on his demise. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also expressed deep grief.

It is worth noting that Shri Alok was a senior IAS officer of 1993 batch. He served on many important posts including Collector in Bundi, Sawai Madhopur, Bikaner, Kota and Udaipur. He was known across the country as an expert in energy-infra matters. There is a wave of mourning in the entire bureaucracy due to the news of untimely death of ACS Alok.

CM Bhajanlal expressed grief

CM Bhajanlal Sharma posted on X and wrote that 'The news of the death of senior Indian Administrative Service officer and Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department of the state, Shri Alok, is very sad. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant a place to the departed soul in his lotus feet and give the bereaved family the strength to bear this immense sorrow.'
Mr. Alok was a capable officer - Gehlot

Ashok Gehlot expressed grief over the death of Mr. Alok and wrote that 'The sudden demise of senior IAS, Additional Chief Secretary of Rajasthan's Energy Department, Mr. Alok is extremely sad. Mr. Alok was known as a capable officer. His services will always be remembered. I pray to God to give peace to the departed soul and courage to the family members.'

Alok was ACS (Energy) in Bhajanlal government

Mr. Alok was posted as Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Energy in Bhajanlal government. Along with this, he was also given additional charge of Chief Resident Commissioner, New Delhi, Rajasthan Energy Development and IT Services Limited and Rajasthan State Electricity Transmission Corporation Limited, Jaipur.

Mr. Alok Bureaucracy?

Mr. Alok was a Rajasthan cadre IAS officer of 1993 batch of Indian Administrative Service. He has served as Director in the Ministry of Energy, Government of India, General Manager in NMEEE, Secretary, Energy Department, Government of Rajasthan and Chairman and Managing Director, Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited, Jaipur.

Apart from this, Shri Alok has also served as Additional Secretary, National Disaster Management Authority, Member (Administration) of National Highways Authority of India, Principal Secretary, MSME, State Principal Secretary, Public Works Department, Secretary, Revenue and Sainik Welfare Department. Shri Alok has also served as Divisional Commissioner, Bharatpur.
