Acharya accused close aides of Tejashwi Yadav, including Sanjay Yadav and Rameez, of exerting undue influence over party affairs and her personal life. She claimed that she was pressured to leave the family home and sever political ties, posting that she felt “orphaned” and left her maternal home in tears after threats, including being threatened with a slipper.
RJD workers, reportedly angered by the developments, gathered outside Rabri Devi’s residence in Patna, chanting slogans against Sanjay Yadav. Acharya’s brother, Tej Pratap Yadav, echoed her sentiments on social media, calling alleged traitors within the party “hollowing out the RJD” and warning that those insulting his sister would be “taught a lesson by the public.”
Acharya’s posts also highlight the broader issue of gendered expectations in political and familial responsibilities, emphasizing the disproportionate burden placed on daughters in matters of family care. Her statements underscore both personal grievances and accusations of internal party malpractice.
