Tejashwi Yadav has made a serious allegation against the Election Commission, claiming that names of 65 lakh voters have been removed from the voter list in Bihar, raising concerns over electoral transparency.
Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav has made serious allegations against the Election Commission. He says that without any proper reason, the Election Commission has removed the names of 65 lakh voters of the state from the voter list. He alleged that the voters whose names have been removed neither have any EPIC (Electoral Photo ID Card) number nor their address is available. Tejashwi Yadav has termed it as a big cunning of the Election Commission and said that such actions are affecting the democratic rights of Bihar.
Tejashwi Yadav alleged that the Election Commission has excluded lakhs of voters from the voter list without any clear reason and the Commission is not giving any concrete information about this. He also said that no information has been given about those who have been excluded from the voter list, whether they are dead, have gone to other places or their names have been removed for other reasons. Tejashwi said that he himself had gone to meet the Election Commission and asked the question that at which booths, on what basis and how many voters' names were removed.
Important question asked
Apart from this, Tejashwi Yadav has asked an important question to the Election Commission that whether the Commission has given information about those people whose names have been removed from the list? Has the Election Commission clarified how many people have died and how many people have gone to other places? On not getting answers to these questions from the Election Commission, Tejashwi said that the people of Bihar are being cheated and the Election Commission has not given any clarity about it.
Who will vote in Bihar?
Tejashwi Yadav made another serious allegation regarding the functioning of the Election Commission. He said that the current Election Commission has adopted a policy of taking decisions in favor of Gujarat under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He accused the Election Commission by the name of "Modi Commission" and said that now Gujarati officials will decide who will vote in Bihar and who will not, which is completely
