Shots Fired At Guru Randhawa's Delhi Gym; Bishnoi Gang Claims Link

Two bike-borne gunmen fired multiple rounds at a Paschim Vihar gym linked to singer Guru Randhawa. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility online.

Two motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire outside a premium fitness centre in outer Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area early on Thursday morning. The targeted establishment, operating under the '24HS Fitness' franchise network, is associated with popular Punjabi playback singer Guru Randhawa, who serves as its brand ambassador.

While no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident, the brazen shooting has triggered severe panic in the residential cum commercial hub of West Delhi. Shortly after the incident, an online post surfacing on social media claimed responsibility for the attack on behalf of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, linking the shooting to the singer's high-profile Bollywood associations.

Early Morning Panic In Paschim Vihar

According to initial police reports, the assailants arrived outside the gym premises located in Pushkar Enclave, Paschim Vihar East, around 4:00 AM on Thursday. The men, who had their faces covered to avoid identification, pulled out firearms and discharged at least seven rounds directly at the establishment.

The bullets shattered the massive glass facade of the fitness facility. Because the attack occurred during the early hours when the gym was closed for operation, staff and fitness enthusiasts were absent, preventing potential casualties.

The matter officially came to light at approximately 5:15 AM when the gym's local caretaker arrived for the morning shift. Upon discovering the broken glass fragments strewn across the entrance and distinct bullet pockmarks on the structure, he immediately alerted the Delhi Police control room.

Forensic Teams Mobilised At Scene

Senior officials from the outer district police, alongside local station teams, cordoned off the area shortly after the alert. A specialized forensic science laboratory (FSL) unit was summoned to collect ballistic evidence from the spot.

"Our teams have recovered empty cartridges from the pavement outside the commercial building. We are mapping the trajectory of the fire to determine the exact make of the weapons used," a senior investigator privy to the probe stated on condition of anonymity.

Local intelligence units and district police have begun compiling list logs of all visitors over the past week while screening extensive high-definition closed-circuit television (CCTV) feeds from the immediate vicinity and suspected getaway routes toward neighbouring districts.

Bishnoi Gang Issues Warning Over Salman Khan

The investigation took a significant turn within hours of the shooting when a social media post went viral, with the Anil Pandit group—a known faction of the transnational Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate—claiming responsibility for the gunfire.

The digital post explicitly stated that the target was selected to deliver a direct warning to Guru Randhawa. The gang claimed the singer was targeted due to his "growing proximity" to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who has been on the syndicate’s radar for several years over a legacy hunting case in Rajasthan.

Delhi Police officials stated they are working closely with the Cyber Cell to track the IP address and origin of the social media upload to confirm its authenticity. The local franchise operators, identified as two prominent business partners residing in Rajouri Garden, have been called in for detailed questioning regarding any recent unsolicited communications.

Extortion And Rivalry Angles Probed

While the gang's social media statement points toward celebrity associations, investigators are not ruling out standard underworld operations. Multiple operational teams are simultaneously verifying if the firing was a classic scare tactic aimed at executing a large-scale financial extortion demand from the local gym owners.

Over the last few months, commercial establishments, including car showrooms and luxury clubs in the National Capital Region (NCR), have faced similar drive-by shootings orchestrated by local gang modules acting on instructions from overseas handlers. Police are cross-referencing fingerprints and ballistic records with recent active modules arrested in the city.

Security Tightened Across Commercial Hubs

Following the incident, security has been visibly tightened across market pockets in Paschim Vihar and surrounding sectors of West Delhi. Plainclothes operators have been deployed, and patrolling has been intensified during non-operational night hours.

The gym management has temporarily halted operations to allow restoration of the damaged infrastructure and facilitate structural safety checks. A formal case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act has been registered at the Paschim Vihar East Police Station against unidentified individuals as massive raids continue across suspected hideouts.
