Ayush Mhatre's blazing century brought India U19 close to victory in the Youth Test against England U19, but rain played spoilsport, ending the match in a draw. India missed the chance to clinch the Youth Test title.
The second youth test between India and England Under-19 team ended in a draw. Team India was chasing a target of 355 runs and captain Ayush Mhatre's century raised hopes that the run chase could be done. But rain eventually played havoc and both teams had to settle for a draw. Apart from Mhatre, Abhigyan Kundu scored a half-century.
Despite the excellent innings of captain Ayush Mhatre (126) and Abhigyan Kundu (65), the second youth test between India and England Under-19 teams ended in a draw.
The Indian team had got a target of 355 runs to win, chasing which it scored 290 runs in just 43 overs by losing 6 wickets. But due to the hindrance of rain, the match could not be completed and both teams had to settle for a draw. It would not be wrong to say that the Indian team was deprived of victory.
