Bihar Announces Senior Squad for Opening Ranji Trophy Matches

The Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) has unveiled its senior team for the first two matches of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season. Sakibul Gani will lead the side as captain, with Vaibhav Suryavanshi named vice-captain. The selection committee has included 14 players in the squad.
After a disappointing season last year, Bihar has been relegated from the Elite Group and will now compete in the Plate Group.
All matches will take place at Moinul Haq Stadium, Patna, with Bihar hosting three games this season:
· Bihar vs Arunachal Pradesh: October 15–18
· Bihar vs Meghalaya: November 1–4
· Bihar vs Mizoram: November 16–19
The Arunachal Pradesh team arrived in Patna on Sunday ahead of the opening fixture.
Bihar squad for the first match: Piyush Kumar Singh, Bhaskar Dubey, Sakibul Gani (C), Vaibhav Suryavanshi (VC), Arnav Kishore, Ayush Lohruka, Bipin Saurabh, Amod Yadav, Nawaz Khan, Sakib Hussain, Raghvendra Pratap Singh, Sachin Kumar Singh, Himanshu Singh, Khalid Alam, Sachin Kumar. Other registered players will remain on standby.
Support staff: Head Coach – Vinayak Samant, Assistant Coach – Kumar Mridul, Physiotherapist – Dr. Hemendu Kumar Singh, Strength & Conditioning Coach – Gopal Kumar. Nandan Kumar Singh has been appointed as team manager by the BCA
