Shubman Gill Emerges as Front-runner for Test Captaincy
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the squad for the upcoming tour of England, featuring five Test matches starting June 20, 2025. Ruturaj Gaikwad, the current captain of Chennai Super Kings, has been named the captain for the series. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill is being considered as a potential successor to lead the Indian Test team following the retirements of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
India U19 squad: The captaincy of India's Under 19 team going on England tour has been handed over to Ayush Mhatre, while 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also become a part of this team.
India U19 squad: The thrill of cricket will not stop even after IPL 2025, because 3 teams of India are going on England tour. The senior team has to play 5 Tests. At the same time, India A has to play 2 unofficial Tests. Apart from this, India's Under 19 team will also play a total of 8 matches along with 5 ODIs in England.
