Digital Desk
The final double-header of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Chennai leg saw two commanding performances from Dabang Delhi K.C. and U Mumba, both wrapping up their matches in style. Delhi maintained their dominance at the top of the points table with yet another victory, while U Mumba delivered a statement win against the Bengal Warriorz.
Dabang Delhi K.C. vs Gujarat Giants (39–33)
In a closely fought contest, Dabang Delhi K.C. overcame the Gujarat Giants 39–33 to keep their winning streak intact. Akshit Dhull, who came off the bench, stole the spotlight with a stunning Super 10, while Neeraj Narwal, Ajinkya Pawar, and Surjeet Singh led Delhi’s charge throughout the game.
The first quarter ended evenly at 9–9, but Delhi soon pulled ahead after Neeraj’s brilliant raid helped them inflict an All Out, taking a 21–14 lead at halftime. Gujarat’s Himanshu Jaglan and Mohammadreza Shadloui fought hard in the second half, with Shadloui completing his High Five, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap.
Akshit’s back-to-back Super Raids in the final minutes sealed the win for Delhi, ensuring they stayed unbeaten and firmly on top of the table.
Bengal Warriorz vs U Mumba (29–48)
The second match of the evening was a one-sided affair as U Mumba crushed the Bengal Warriorz 48–29. Despite Devank Dalal’s personal milestone — becoming the fastest player in PKL history to reach 500 raid points — Bengal could not match U Mumba’s intensity.
U Mumba started aggressively with Ajit Chouhan and Sandeep leading the raids, while Sunil Kumar and Amirmohammad Zafardanesh delivered crucial defensive stops. A perfectly timed tackle from Zafardanesh on Manjeet helped U Mumba secure an All Out, establishing a 24–13 halftime lead.
In the second half, Sunil’s sharp defensive work on Vishwas S triggered another All Out, extending their lead even further. Bengal’s defence struggled to find rhythm, allowing U Mumba to dominate both halves and finish with a commanding victory.
