The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced that the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 will be hosted across Navi Mumbai and Vadodara, with online ticket booking opening at 6 pm on December 26. Fans can purchase tickets through the official WPL website, the WPL mobile application and the District (by Zomato) platform.
The third edition of the women’s T20 league will begin on January 9, 2026, at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The opening match will feature defending champions Mumbai Indians against Royal Challengers Bangalore, setting the stage for another high-profile season of women’s cricket.
Navi Mumbai will host the first leg of the tournament, with 11 matches scheduled at the DY Patil Stadium. Following this phase, the league will move to Vadodara on January 19, where matches will be played at the Baroda Cricket Association’s Kotambi Stadium, also known as the BCA Stadium.
Vadodara will host 11 matches, including the most decisive fixtures of the tournament. The first match at Kotambi Stadium will see Gujarat Giants take on Royal Challengers Bangalore. One of the highlights of the Vadodara leg will be the clash between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, a repeat of the 2025 WPL final.
The league stage of WPL 2026 will conclude on February 1. The Eliminator is scheduled for February 3, followed by the final on February 5, with both matches to be played in Vadodara. Hosting the playoffs and final places the city at the centre of the tournament’s climax.
The WPL continues to attract some of the biggest names in women’s cricket. Fans can expect to see leading Indian and international players, including Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues, in action. Local supporters will also be keen to watch Gujarat players such as Yastika Bhatia and Radha Yadav perform on home ground.
With two venues and a packed schedule, WPL 2026 is expected to draw strong crowds and further strengthen the profile of women’s cricket in India.
