Tremors felt across parts of Chhattisgarh forced people to rush out of their homes in fear. No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received. Authorities are assessing the situation.
There was a stir in the area due to the earthquake in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district this morning. People clearly felt the mild earthquake tremors at around 7:31 am. For about 4 to 5 seconds, utensils kept rattling in the houses and doors and windows kept shaking. As soon as the tremors were felt, people came out of their houses as a precaution.
However, there has been no loss of life or damage due to this earthquake. Many people stood outside the house for a long time as a precaution. No official information has been released by the administration at the moment, but the local people are alert and taking precautions.
