A tragic road accident took place this morning near Rawatpura University in Nava Raipur. A speeding pickup hit a young man riding a scooter, killing him on the spot. The police, who arrived on the information, registered a case and sent the body for postmortem and started further action.
The deceased has been identified as Nandu Yadav (22 years), who was a resident of village Navagaon (L) of Gobra Navapara area. After the accident, people from the surrounding area gathered in large numbers and started expressing anger.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the Abhanpur police station reached the spot and started convincing the angry people. At present, the police is engaged in investigating the matter.
Two cargo vehicles collide on Mahasamund National Highway, 3 in critical condition
A horrific road accident took place on Monday morning near Chowkdi on NH-353 in Mahasamund. The head-on collision of two cargo vehicles was so strong that both the vehicles were blown to pieces. In the accident, three of the four people travelling in both the vehicles were seriously injured. The injured were brought to the Community Health Center Bagbahara with the help of 112, where one of them was referred to the Medical College after first aid as his condition was critical.
According to the information, one of the vehicles was loaded with vegetables while the other vehicle was empty. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the Komakhan police reached.
