7 Urban Bodies of Chhattisgarh Win Swachh Bharat Awards

In the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25, seven urban bodies from Chhattisgarh received national awards for cleanliness. Ambikapur, Patan, and Vishrampur emerged as top performers among the cleanest cities in the country.
Chhattisgarh has achieved a big achievement in Swachh Survey 2024-25. President Draupadi Murmu awarded seven urban bodies of Chhattisgarh in a ceremony organized by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in New Delhi. The award was received by Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw and the mayors and presidents of the winning bodies. In Swachh Survey 2024-25, three cities of Chhattisgarh, Ambikapur, Patan and Vishrampur, have ranked top in the country at the national level.
Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal and Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu also attended the program. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has congratulated all the awarded urban bodies.
Three cities of Chhattisgarh have been ranked in the new category Swachhata Super League (SSL) added in the Swachh Survey of the Government of India. Ambikapur, Patan and Vishrampur have ranked in SSL. SSL includes cities that have been ranked in the top three positions at least once in the last three years and in the top 20 percent in the current year. Raipur has received the Promising Clean City award of Chhattisgarh in the Swachh Survey.
Nagar Panchayat Bilha has been ranked as the cleanest city in the country among cities with a population of less than 20 thousand. Bilaspur has received the award of the second cleanest city in the country in the three lakh to ten lakh population category. Kumhari has been ranked as the third cleanest city in the country among cities with a population of 20-50 thousand.
