Bilaspur Road Accident: Student Critical After Iron Barricade Pipe Pierces Abdomen in High-Speed Bike Crash

A student was critically injured after a seven-foot iron pipe from a roadside barricade pierced his abdomen when a speeding motorcycle crashed in Bilaspur. Two others were also injured.
A late-night road accident in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur left three young men injured, one of them critically, after a speeding motorcycle crashed into a roadside iron barricade. In the impact, a nearly seven-foot-long iron pipe from the barricade pierced through the rider’s abdomen, prompting an emergency rescue operation.
The accident occurred on Thursday night on the Sakri-Pendari main road under the Sakri police station limits.
According to police, Priyanshu Gyanik, a resident of Jarhagaon, was returning home from Bilaspur with two friends on a motorcycle when the vehicle reportedly went out of control and rammed into an iron barricade installed along the roadside.
Iron Pipe Pierced Through Rider's Abdomen
The collision was so severe that an iron pipe from the barricade tore through the front portion of the motorcycle before penetrating Priyanshu's abdomen and passing through his body.
The impact also threw the two pillion riders off the motorcycle, leaving them injured.
The injured have been identified as:

All three are believed to be students.
Passersby Rush to Help
The accident triggered panic among commuters on the road. Local residents and passersby immediately rushed to the spot and informed the police and emergency services.
A passerby, Gajendra Thakur, alerted the Dial-112 emergency response team, while nearby residents assisted the injured until medical help arrived.
Police personnel and ambulance staff reached the spot shortly afterward. Two injured youths were shifted to a nearby hospital immediately, while Priyanshu, whose injuries were critical, was transported separately by ambulance for advanced medical treatment.
Victim Undergoing Treatment
Priyanshu is currently admitted to Apollo Hospital, where doctors are treating his life-threatening injuries. Hospital authorities have described his condition as critical.
The other two injured youths are also undergoing treatment.
Administration Monitoring the Case
Preliminary findings suggest that the motorcycle was travelling at high speed before the crash. Police are investigating the exact sequence of events and the cause of the accident.
Following information about the incident, Takhatpur SDM Nitin Tiwari directed the local Tehsildar to visit the hospital and monitor the situation. The district administration said it is keeping a close watch on the case.
Police have stated that further investigation is underway, and necessary action will be taken based on the findings.
