A chamber delegation met Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and expressed gratitude for the historic GST reform, calling it a step towards economic growth.

The GST reform announcement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the Red Fort on Independence Day was completed after the GST Council meeting. In this sequence, the Chamber delegation led by State President of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries Satish Thaurani paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the historic decision of NextGenGST taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national interest.

During this, State President of Chamber of Commerce and Industries Satish Thaurani said that NextGenGST will directly benefit the poor, middle class and every small and big entrepreneur. This important step of the GST Council is extremely beneficial for the traders, which will make business activities even more smooth and strong. The benefits of this historic announcement will reach the last person of the country. Under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, our Chhattisgarh and the country are constantly progressing, in this progress, the traders of the state are walking hand in hand with the government.

During this meeting, Chamber State President Satish Thaurani also informed Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai about the 21-point memorandum given by the Chamber team to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ji in New Delhi regarding GST simplification and necessary reforms. Most of the suggestions given by Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries have been included in this announcement. Which is a matter of pride for all of us traders.

The Chamber team has made Chhattisgarh number-1 in GST collection. In the financial year 2024-25, a historic revenue collection of ₹ 23,448 crore has been done in the state from GST + VAT. Honorable Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai was congratulated for this unprecedented success. This is the result of the commitment and hard work of the government towards the business and industry under his visionary leadership. Today's Chhattisgarh is not only rich in resources, but is also presenting a strong example in front of the country under the leadership of the Honorable Chief Minister in economic management and revenue collection.
