The Chhattisgarh Government is set to organize its third edition of the Chintan Shivir in July as part of its efforts to make governance more effective, accountable, and citizen-centric. The two-day residential programme, proposed to be held at the Indian Institute of Management Raipur, will bring together Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and all members of the state Cabinet. Officials said the initiative is designed to enhance administrative capacity, improve decision-making, and strengthen the implementation of government policies. The workshop will focus on modern governance practices, leadership development, technological innovation, and public service delivery, reflecting the government's broader objective of promoting efficient and transparent administration.

According to government sources, ministers will undergo specialized training sessions led by management experts, senior bureaucrats, and policy specialists from across the country. The programme is expected to provide insights into emerging governance challenges and strategies for improving public administration.

Focus on Governance Reforms

Officials said the training sessions will emphasize administrative management, policy formulation, leadership skills, and the use of technology in governance. Participants will also discuss methods to improve transparency, accountability, and responsiveness within government departments.

Building on Earlier Editions

The upcoming event follows two previous Chintan Shivirs organized by the Sai government since assuming office.

The first Chintan Shivir, held on May 31 and June 1, 2024, focused on the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh by 2047, governance reforms, policy planning, and administrative efficiency. Experts associated with national institutions, including policy specialists, participated in discussions with ministers and senior officials.

The second edition, organized on June 8 and 9, 2025, reviewed the government's performance during its initial eighteen months in office. Deliberations covered departmental coordination, innovation, financial management, education, healthcare, and long-term development planning.

Emphasis on Practical Outcomes

Government officials said lessons learned from the previous editions have been incorporated into the design of Chintan Shivir 3.0. This year's programme is expected to be more practical, outcome-oriented, and focused on public welfare.

By bringing together policymakers, administrators, and experts under one platform, the state government hopes to strengthen governance systems and improve the effectiveness of public programmes.
