CM Sai Inaugurates 226 Houses Under Atal Housing Scheme, Hands Over Dream Homes

On Monday, under the 'Sushasan Tihar' initiative, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated 226 newly constructed houses under the Atal Awas Yojana in Murmunda village and handed over dream homes to the beneficiaries.
On this occasion, he formally facilitated the housewarming ceremony of house number 226, owned by Tushar Sahu, and remarked, “This is not just a structure made of bricks and stones, but a strong foundation for a life of dignity.”
Congratulating all the beneficiaries present at the event, the Chief Minister stated that the Chhattisgarh government prioritizes providing safe and dignified housing to every citizen. Praising the Atal Awas Yojana, he said that the scheme not only provides a roof over people’s heads but also empowers them socially and economically. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Vijay Sharma was also specially present at the program.
Tears in Eyes, Smiles on Faces of Beneficiaries
An emotional Tushar Sahu, who moved into his new home, said, “I always dreamt of living in a beautiful and peaceful home, and today that dream has been fulfilled by the hands of the Chief Minister. This house is a gift of dignity and security for my family.” Tushar was joined by his parents and other family members on this memorable occasion. The Chief Minister also inspected his home and appreciated the quality of construction.
During the event, other beneficiaries, including Rupnarayan Dewangan, Arun Sahu, and Chandrashekhar Rathore, were also handed over the keys to their new homes. Arun Sahu, owner of house number 215 and an employee at Bhilai Steel Plant, said, “Moving into my own house before retirement is the biggest achievement of my life. I am grateful to the state government for this.”
A Dreamlike Residential Complex Spread Over 10 Acres
The project, executed by the Chhattisgarh Housing Board, spans approximately 10 acres in Murmunda village. With a total investment of ₹24 crore 57 lakh 98 thousand, it comprises 226 independent houses and 12 shops. Among the houses, 55 belong to the EWS category, 69 are LIG-A type, 86 are LIG-B type, and 16 are MIG type. All units have been sold, and registration of 7 houses has also been completed.
