Bilaspur. Hearing will continue in the High Court on the petition challenging the election of former Chief Minister of the state and Patan MLA Bhupesh Baghel. The court has rejected the demand to dismiss the petition on technical points. The next hearing of this case will be held on June 18.

Durg MP Vijay Baghel has filed an election petition in the High Court, alleging disregard of the Model Code of Conduct and the instructions of the Election Commission in the Patan assembly elections. In the petition, several documents related to corrupt conduct by Bhupesh Baghel have been cited and his election has been demanded to be canceled.

On the other hand, Bhupesh Baghel has demanded the dismissal of this election petition on the basis of technical and other objections. Justice Ravindra Kumar Agarwal has rejected his petition in the High Court. Now the hearing on the petition filed by Vijay Baghel will continue. The court has written in its decision - "There is sufficient evidence in the election petition and it cannot be dismissed at this stage.
