Gold, Silver Prices Fall; Sarafa Market Sees Heavy Buying on Akshaya Tritiya

On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, gold and silver prices witnessed a sharp decline, triggering a surge in customer footfall and heavy buying in the bullion market across the country.

Raipur. Due to the fall in the prices of gold and silver, the bullion market witnessed good customer service on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Gold has fallen by Rs 900 per ten grams and silver prices have fallen by Rs 2650 per kg.

This fall in the prices of gold which were rising for two days in the bullion market came with the support of global markets. Gold standard 24 carat was traded at Rs 98100, 22 carat at Rs 90100, 20 carat at Rs 82500 in the bullion market of the capital Raipur. With the fall in the prices of silver by Rs 2650 per kg, the prices have come down to Rs 97500 per kg.

Due to the fall in the prices of precious metals gold and silver, the wedding customer service also turned out to be good along with Akshaya Tritiya. Sources associated with Raipur Sarafa Association said that due to the fall in the prices of gold and silver on Akshaya Tritiya, the bullion market witnessed better customer traffic than expected. There was a demand for all types of gold and silver jewellery. Compared to previous years, this year investors and stockists showed more interest in shopping.
