Hareli Celebrated at Deputy CM Sao’s Residence with Traditional Rituals and Gidi Fun

Deputy Chief Minister Sao celebrated Hareli Tihar with devotion at his residence. Along with his wife, he worshiped agricultural tools, fed flour to a cow, and enjoyed the traditional Gidi activity, showcasing cultural pride.

Chhattisgarh's first folk festival Hareli is being celebrated with enthusiasm across the state today. On this occasion, Hareli's fervor prevailed since morning in the official residence of Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw in Nava Raipur. Saw, along with his wife, worshipped the plow and agricultural tools and fed flour and jaggery to the cow, and also experienced folk joy by climbing the Gidi.

On the occasion of the festival, a wonderful glimpse of Chhattisgarhi culture, folk life and traditional food was seen in the residence of the Deputy Chief Minister. The guests and common people who reached there were welcomed with Chhattisgarhi dishes like Chausela, Gulgula Bhajiya, Bada, Tomato Chutney etc. During the program, the Deputy Chief Minister also gave the message of environmental protection by planting a Sheesham plant.
