Probe on Teacher’s Reinstatement After POCSO Charge, Drive Against Banned Drugs, Social Audit in Schools

Authorities have begun investigating the reinstatement of a teacher accused under the POCSO Act after an alleged bribe. A campaign has been launched to curb the sale of banned medicines, while a social audit of government schools will be conducted to improve education quality. Police also arrested 14 miscreants in separate actions.
The teacher who was suspended for indecently touching the girl students was reinstated. A team of two DEOs and one BEO reached the District Education Office to investigate the complaint in this regard. They recorded the statements of the people related to the case.
Two girls had accused assistant teacher LB Ashok Kurre posted in Khudiyadih Primary School of Takhatpur block of the district of indecently touching them. After investigation, the then DEO Anil Tiwari suspended him after the report of Takhatpur BEO. Also, a crime was registered against him under POCSO X in the police. After this, the teacher absconded. Before the completion of the investigation, the DEO reinstated the teacher. In this case, a transaction complaint was made against the then DEO Anil Tiwari and Takhatpur BEO Kamleshwar Bairagi.
Janjgir DEO Ashwin Bhardwaj, Mungeli DEO CK Dhrtlahare and Pali BEO Sahu reached the District Education Officer's office for investigation. While the statement of Takhatpur BEO Bairagi was recorded, the then DEO Tiwari did not appear before the investigating officers due to ill health. Therefore, his statement could not be recorded.
Campaign launched to stop the sale of banned medicines
Bilaspur. A joint team of police and drug department launched a checking campaign to stop the sale of banned medicines. A total of 44 medical shops were checked with drug inspectors in different police station areas of the district.
The joint team inspected 4 medical shops in Civil Line police station area, 7 in Sarkanda, 5 in Koni, 3 in Torwa, 6 in Tarbahar, 6 in City Kotwali, 7 in Sirgitti, 6 in Sipat. During this, the stock register of medical shops was checked and strict action was warned for breaking the rules. Along with this, medical shop operators were strictly instructed to give medicines only on doctor's prescription.
Social audit of government schools will be done to increase the quality of education
Bilaspur. The picture of government schools will change with the Chief Minister's Education Quality Campaign, this will strengthen the education of children. Chief Minister's Education Quality Campaign is going to be started in schools soon. There will be a social audit of government schools in this. In which the shortcomings that come to the fore will be corrected.
In this, to improve the quality of education in government schools, social audit of all schools from primary to higher secondary level will be done in four phases. Its preparation has started. Teachers have been made nodal officers. As soon as the order of the government comes, the first phase of work will be started to conduct social audit.
Many improvements will be seen in schools
After this campaign, many improvements will be seen in schools. Children will get experience based and activity based education. Mathematics and science will be taught by connecting them to daily life. The talent of children will be enhanced through wall magazine, library and cultural activities. Also, additional resources and training will be given to weak schools. Mini museums will also be made in schools to connect children with their culture.
Role of public representatives and parents
The objective of this campaign is also the active participation of parents and community in education. The evaluation and inspection of schools will be done in the presence of public representatives and officials. Along with this, parents will also be made partners in the education system of their children, so that a comprehensive change can be brought in the quality of education. It is expected that with this campaign, the trust of the society on government schools will increase further in the coming years and children will get quality education.
Police caught 14 accused by running a special campaign
Bilaspur. Sakri police succeeded in catching 14 miscreants by running a special campaign. Out of these, 9 accused were arrested under section 170 BNSS. Apart from these, warrant accused Ishwar Yadav was also caught in the stabbing case.
The accused arrested in the special police operation include Aasmin Khan (52) of Chorbatti, Dhelauram Suryavanshi (58) of Sambalpuri, Raja Bansod (20) of Shanti Nagar, Vinay Tandon (19) of Daldaliha Para, Pintu Vastrakar (26) of Pendari, Omprakash Jangde (28) of Pendari, Ashok Sahu (26) of Kauatal, Hardesh Yadav (22) of Kathakoni, Harish Rao (27) of Sagar. In other actions, Nilesh Chandrakar, Karan Bharate and a juvenile delinquent, Dheeraj Baghel and Ishwar Yadav were arrested.
