Acting on repeated complaints from residents about noise and suspicious activities, a team from Sarkanda police station stormed the rented premises. Officers seized three motorcycles and took everyone to the station for questioning.

Breathalyzer tests confirmed the group had consumed alcohol. The men faced preventive action for creating a public disturbance, plus charges under Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act for drunk driving.

The two women were released after their families were summoned to the station and counselled.

TI Pradeep Arya said journalists living in the colony had alerted authorities and the landlord after frequent late-night parties and visits by unknown women disrupted peace.

Two of the men had rented the house posing as medical representatives. They stayed out during the day but hosted drinking sessions at night.

Arrested individuals include Aditya Vastrakar (33) from Shubhmangal Apartment on Link Road, Lucky Dewangan (28) and Vansh Dewangan (22) from Juna Bilaspur, Ashish Sahu (26) from Ashok Nagar Patrakar Colony, and Vipul Dubey (26) from Nagar village in Korea district.

SSP Rajnesh Singh ordered the raid following direct complaints to his office.

The incident has prompted calls for stricter monitoring of rented properties in residential areas.
