A grenade exploded unexpectedly during a mock drill in Bhopal, resulting in two policemen suffering serious injuries. The incident occurred during a routine training exercise and is under investigation.

 
 

A grenade exploded during a mock drill on Thursday in the 25th battalion of the capital Bhopal. Head constable Vishal Singh and constable Santosh Kumar were seriously injured in the accident. Both have been admitted to Bansal Hospital in Chunabhatti for treatment. PHQ has ordered an inquiry into the accident.
The injured include a head constable and a constable. The head constable's name is being told as Vishal Singh and the constable's name is Santosh Kumar. Both have been immediately admitted to the emergency ward of Bansal Hospital in Chunabhatti, where they are undergoing treatment.


It is being told that the purpose of this mock drill was to prepare to deal with a situation like the recent attack by Pakistan. The incident of grenade explosion during the exercise has raised questions on the preparations of security exercises.
