13th June Mahakal Bhasma Aarti: Divine Blessings of Baba Mahakal

The doors of the temple were opened at 4 am on Friday, the second day of Krishna Paksha, Ashadh month in the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar temple. First of all, Lord Mahakal was anointed with water. After this, Abhishek Puja was done with Panchamrit made of milk, curd, ghee, honey, fruit juice.

Baba Mahakal was adorned with garlands of flowers, cannabis, sandalwood and jewellery. Mahakal was offered ashes. Lord Mahakal wore the silver crown of Sheshnag, silver Mundmaal, Rudraksh garland along with a garland of flowers made of fragrant flowers. He offered fruits and sweets.

Hundreds of devotees earned merit by visiting the Bhasma Aarti in the morning. People visited Nandi Maharaj and went near his ears and sought blessings for the fulfillment of their wishes. During this, devotees were also chanting Baba Mahakal's praises. The entire temple was resonating with Baba's praises.
