NHRC Takes Cognizance in Minister Vijay Shah Case

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken cognizance of the case involving Minister Vijay Shah and issued a formal notice to the state government. The move comes amid allegations of human rights violations, prompting the Commission to seek a detailed report on the matter within a stipulated timeframe.

 
 

Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh minister Vijay Shah's troubles have increased further in the case of controversial statement against Indian Army's woman officer Colonel Sofia Qureshi. The National Human Rights Commission has taken cognizance against minister Vijay Shah. The commission has registered a case and issued a notice to the Madhya Pradesh government.

Let us tell you that Rajasthan leader Charmesh Sharma had complained about the case to the National Human Rights Commission. Here, the case will be heard in the Supreme Court on May 19. Minister Vijay Shah has sought time from the Supreme Court. Advocate Jai Thakur has filed a caveat in the Supreme Court on behalf of the High Court.

The caveat said - the High Court's side should also be heard before the decision. As an intervener, senior advocate Kapil Simbal has demanded an immediate hearing.
