Indore MY Hospital Rat Case: HOD’s bizarre statement
Indore,M.P
In the shocking rat bite case at Indore’s MY Hospital, HOD gave a ridiculous remark saying, “Even we are bitten by rats during duty, but we don’t get infected.” BJP leader Brajesh Lahoti slammed the statement as insensitive.
The state level team reached Indore today to investigate the rat infestation case in MY Hospital. Health and Medical Education Commissioner Tarun Rathi himself reached MY Hospital and inspected the PICU ward with Dean Arvind Ghanghoria and Superintendent Dr. Ashok Yadav. Tarun Rathi sat in the Superintendent's room and got information about the entire incident.
2 newborns died due to rat bites
After the rat bite incident, 2 newborns have died, which has raised questions on the health system in the entire state. So far, 7 employees of the department have been suspended. At the same time, clarification is also being sought from Dean Arvind Ghanghoria and Superintendent Dr. Ashok Yadav on the incident. Health Commissioner Tarun Rathi showed strictness on the hospital administration and expressed anger. The officers and employees who have been issued notices are being called before the investigation committee.
The Commissioner said that a time limit of 2 days has been given, the committee will submit its investigation within 2 days and action will be taken against those who are found guilty in this. NICU incharge Dr Brijesh Lahoti said that he has also accepted that there are rats inside MY hospital. He said that sometimes rats bite us during duty. There is no infection of any kind from rats.
No treatment in any hospital in the world
The children died due to a serious illness. The eyes of the children were completely damaged which were cut and bypassed. Both the children had critical problems. Many other children also come to the hospital with such problems but no child can die due to rat bites. Even if these children could have been saved, they cannot be treated in any hospital in the world because they are not able to survive.
