The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in Madhya Pradesh, which began on August 9, will conclude today, August 17, after a week of patriotic activities, Tiranga Yatras and public participation across the state. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav had urged citizens to actively participate in the campaign by displaying the national flag at their homes and taking part in events organised across Madhya Pradesh. 

The campaign was organised around Independence Day with the objective of encouraging people to connect with the Tricolour and strengthen the message of national unity and pride. Across the state, government departments, local administrations, youth groups and citizens participated in rallies and other programmes.

Campaign Launched From Bhopal

The Madhya Pradesh government formally launched the campaign on August 9 in Bhopal. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the initiative and participated in a Tiranga Yatra that began from the TT Nagar Stadium.

Yadav also joined the rally on a motorcycle carrying the national flag, while a large number of citizens and young people participated in the event. The campaign was scheduled to run across Madhya Pradesh from August 9 to August 17. 

Tiranga Yatras Across The State

The campaign featured Tiranga Yatras in different parts of Madhya Pradesh. The state government encouraged people to display the Tricolour at their homes and participate in community-level activities.

In Bhopal, several programmes were organised during the campaign. A large Tiranga Yatra involving young people and citizens was also held as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

The Chief Minister said the enthusiasm of young participants reflected their patriotic spirit and appealed to citizens to hoist the Tricolour at their homes while respecting the national flag. 

Youth Participation Remains Key Focus

Youth participation has been one of the prominent features of the campaign. Speaking during a Tiranga Yatra in Bhopal, Yadav highlighted the participation of thousands of young people and described their involvement as a sign of their commitment towards the country's progress.

The campaign has also sought to take patriotic activities beyond government programmes by encouraging families and communities to participate directly.

Tiranga At Every Home

The central message of the campaign has been the display of the national flag at homes. Citizens have been encouraged to hoist the Tricolour as a symbol of national pride and remember the sacrifices made during India's freedom struggle.

The wider Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 initiative has also encouraged citizens to participate digitally by registering their involvement, uploading photographs with the Tricolour and obtaining a participation certificate. 

Flag Respect And Proper Display

As citizens participate in the campaign, authorities have also emphasised the importance of respecting the national flag and following the prescribed rules for its display.

Citizens are expected to ensure that the Tricolour is not allowed to touch the ground and is handled respectfully. The Flag Code of India provides guidelines concerning the display, handling and disposal of the national flag.

Campaign Ends Today

With August 17 marking the final scheduled day of the Madhya Pradesh campaign, the state-wide initiative is now drawing to a close. The government has sought to use the campaign not only as an Independence Day activity but also as a means of encouraging continued public engagement with the values associated with the national flag.

The campaign's activities over the past week have included Tiranga Yatras and other public programmes, with Bhopal serving as one of the major centres of participation. 

As the campaign concludes, the message from the state government remains centred on national unity, respect for the Tricolour and citizen participation.
